Where2Golf says:

The private Hazeltine National Golf Club sits alongside Hazeltine Lake near Chaska in the "Twin Cities" metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St Paul. Here you'll find a much revered layout, created with hosting major championships in mind. It has indeed held many of those, and is one of only two clubs in the USA to have hosted every premier championship staged by the USGA and PGA of America. The 2016 Ryder Cup further adds to Hazeltine's lustre.

This excellent tree-lined and open parkland layout stretches across rolling hills, mature woods, picturesque lakes and open "prairies" to provide a thoroughly memorable golfing environment. Two directly lakeshore holes, plenty of rolling elevation changes and a plethora of stylish bunkering ensure the course is always pleasing on the eye and a great test for your shot-making.

Originally designed by the great Robert Trent Jones Snr, the course was modified and renovated by his son Rees Jones in readiness for the 1991 U.S. Open. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game. This private course is generally playable only by members and their invited guests.
