Ridgewood has hosted many top level tournaments and national championships, including a Ryder Cup, US Amateur Championship, US Senior Open and US Senior PGA Championship, as well as recent FedEx Cup playoff events (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Ridgewood CC). | Ridgewood started life in 1890 as a group of men playing golf at Ho-Ho-Kus, and later forming the Ho-Ho-Kus Golf Club in 1893. When the Club moved to Ridgewood and a new home in Maple Ave, it was renamed Ridgewood Golf Club, and in 1910 renamed again as the Ridgewood Country Club. | The club became an Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary Program course in 1996.
