Did you know?

In 1959, with the building of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, North Shore Golf Club was forced to move from its Takapuna home to its current location in Albany. As the course is built on North Shore clays, playing conditions could change dramatically through the fours seasons. Comprehensive drainage overcame the problems of wet winters, while the installation of fairway watering in 1995 has created much improved summer playing conditions.
