Pegasus Golf & Sports Club

4-star: generally an excellent standard golf course, well worth visiting.

Where2Golf says:

Pegasus Golf & Sports Club is home to a well-rated and always popular golf course. This open parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy.

The relatively open course is set against a diverse landscape of water features and the natural wetlands of Pegasus Bay, with a backdrop of mountains to the west. Although there are no directly bayside or ocean-view holes, there are plenty of golfing challenges on this well-crafted design. Good upkeep and presentation also contributes to the appeal of this course, which has played host to the Ladies European Tour and Australian LPG Tour on several recent occasions.

As well as the 18-hole championship course, Pegasus G&SC features a range of excellent facilities including a driving range, practice greens, pro shop, tennis courts, and a well-equipped gymnasium. You’ll also find good food and a warm South Island welcome at The Bunker Bar & Cafe. One to include on your itinerary if you are in the Christchurch area.

Koksijde Golf ter Hille Golf Club: on what was previously open farmland, an enjoyable and challenging links-style layout has been crafted.
