Where2Golf says:

Reunion Golf & Spa Resort: The Jack Nicklaus designed Tradition course is one of three superb layouts at the Reunion Resort. Some would say its the pick of the excellent triumvirate. The Legacy and Independence courses contain the more pronounced elevation changes; the Tradition (which has its own clubhouse) is characterised by sleeker lines and softer undulations.

There is a relatively open feel to much of this wetland-parkland layout, where superb, smooth-lined bunkers bestow an impressive look on each of the individually crafted holes. In addition to the ever-present bunkering and expansive sandy waste areas, small lakes and reed-filled ponds dangerously threaten alongside five or six greens. Big plantation style houses flank some of the holes, although never too closely, and not to detract from the natural interplay of the predominantly wetland environment and Nicklaus's stand-out bunkering.

Among many very attractive holes, the par-4 14th is an inspired creation: an elevated tee, large sandy waste area, pot bunkers and water alongside the green combine to stunning effect. The signature par-3 16th has you playing across water to an elevated sliver of green; an imposing wooden bulkhead must be cleared to reach the putting surface. The 11th is another wonderfully scenic par-3, again played to an elevated green.

As deceptive and challenging as it is beautiful, this excellently presented, big-dimension layout is yet another example of Jack Nicklaus's masterly design work at its very best.
