Where2Golf says:

Khao Kheow Country Club: Golf holes with equal measures of visual enjoyment and visual intimidation, seems to be a hallmark of Pete Dye designs. At Khao Kheow he has created yet another stunning golf course, this time in a wonderfully natural and rural setting. Picturesque jungle-clad hills provide a 360-degree backdrop. With three nine-hole loops to choose between (A, B and C), there is no end of excitement and many great golf holes to be played. Each nine is well maintained, provided you stay on the usually undulating fairways and the lightish, though clingy semi-rough - beyond these two cuts of grass the dense vegetation is something you'd rather not know about. The biggest challenge thrown down by Dye is hitting the typically small greens. In this case small really does mean small, and each is heavily guarded by distinctive bunkering, pronounced earthmounding and water in several cases. Each nine has its own potentially card-wrecking holes. On the A-nine, the par-4 7th occupies a wonderfully rural setting, but standing on the tee you'll see a wide expanse of water running from tee-to-green, and a much thinner sliver of fairway also gently doglegging its way to the hole. The B-nine contains one of the best island green par-3's you'll ever play. Simplicity itself. Just the green sitting out there, surrounded by water, with a beautiful jungle-covered limestone hill as a backdrop. The same hill, this time with the clubhouse in front of it, also beautifully frames the par-4 9th. With Dye's multiplicity of bunkering styles matched by a pleasant variety of trees lining the way, this is one of the region's lesser known, but "must play" gems. Scenic splendour and golfing challenge evenly matched !
