Where2Golf says:

The Canyon course here at Blue Canyon Country Club oozes style, elegance and maturity. It is also generally regarded as one of the top professional tournament venues in Asia, and understandably so. The Canyon represents more than just a tough test of golfing skills. Laid out over pleasantly undulating terrain, the course is also wonderfully picturesque and benefits from top-quality green-keeping.

On the front nine you are required to hit several tight drives through avenues of mature trees. Here you'll find both the fairways and large subtly sloping greens are defended by substantive bunkering. Water puts in its first dangerous appearance as you approach the 9th green, an excellent risk-reward par-5.

The layout's threat from water really cranks-up at the long par-5 11th and par-4 12th holes. And next in line is the par-4 13th - the famous "canyon" hole. Here you must commit to an intimidating drive over water and ensure you clear the 30-foot canyon face on the other side. Tournament professionals frequently go for the green at this signature hole (a mere 390-yard shot from the back tees). But the decision confronting most golfers is how much of the canyon to safely bite off.

The challenging back-nine doesn't relent after 13. A plunging downhill island-green hole awaits at the par-3 14th; you can be forgiven for thinking it's the skinniest island green you've ever seen. The elegantly dog-legging short par-4 16th is a gem, and the long par-3 17th played across water is also world-class. Jungle-clad hills and the resplendent clubhouse provide a perfect backdrop to close out your round at the short but testing par-4 18th.

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.
