Blairgowrie Golf Club (Lansdowne course)

Where2Golf says:
Blairgowrie Golf Club's Lansdowne course is a more recent layout than the club's Rosemount course. Designed by the respected partnership of Peter Allis and Dave Thomas, the Blairgowrie's No.2 course was officially opened in 1979.
Like the Rosemount the fairways on the Lansdowne are lined with avenues of pine and silver birch, while significant amounts of heather also lie in wait. With its tighter fairways and demand for greater accuracy from the tee, coupled with smaller greens than its older sibling, many would say the Lansdowne offers the more challenging test of the two.

Like its sibling Rosemount course, Blairgowrie's Lansdowne course has also hosted a number of prestigious events, not least the Scottish Amateur Championship in 2013 and PGA Championship Final in 2014.
The club's motto "Longe et Certe" is Latin for "Far and Sure". The club's Coat of Arms, features a ship, a pegasus and three crosses, each of these features taken from the Coats of Arms of three families whose land lies adjacent to the Rosemount and Lansdowne courses: the Macphersons of Cluny, the Earls of Lansdowne and the Rattrays of Rattray.

Koksijde Golf ter Hille Golf Club: on what was previously open farmland, an enjoyable and challenging links-style layout has been crafted. Perhaps the inspiration for Koksijde's new course came from a renowned Harry Colt layout that existed in the 1920s just a couple of kilometres to the west. Read more... |
The Duke Golf Club: represents the latest in a trio of private courses to arrive on the Dutch golfing scene. All prefixed by the definite article, The Dutch (2010, designer Colin Montgomerie) and The International (2012, Ian Woosnam) have now been joined by The Duke, which firmly targets a business clientele and the corporate golf market.
