Where2Golf says:

Laguna National Golf & Country Club (Masters course): Laguna National's immaculately maintained and presented Masters golf course has hosted many prestigious events, more so than its companion course, the Classic. If you are lucky enough to play here (only possible with a member or on a Corporate Day), you can be assured of a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging round. Although the original terrain here was essentially flat, plenty of earthmounding, four small lakes and a wide variety of excellent bunkering (some of it railway sleepered, some sandy waste areas) all play their part in creating many strongly designed and testing holes. Hitting the generally good-width fairways or reasonably forgiving semi-rough should not be too troublesome, but avoiding the water hazards, which feature on about half the holes is another matter. Three of the four par-3's involve taking on the water, pretty much from tee-to-green, and many other greens (and fairways) are dangerously flanked by the small lakes. Both the front and back-nines finish with very elegant par-4's that run alongside the same small lake; the 18th very dangerously dog-legging in towards the lake, leaving a tough closing shot to the final green. Proximity to roads and the airport may create some background noise at times, but certainly nothing to detract from enjoying this relatively open and most attractive parkland layout.
