Where2Golf says:

Here at Tanah Merah Country Club, you will find two of Singapore's finest championship golf tracks; the Garden course (for members and their guests) and the also challenging and equally enjoyable Tempines course (open to visitors). The Garden course is generally regarded to be the tougher, bigger dimension, tournament layout, which weaves its way backward and forward over similar, pleasantly undulating terrain. The feel is more open than on the Tempines course, with good earthmounding and fewer trees lining the fairways, which no doubt helps spectators when the big Tour competitions are held. Water is in play on about half the holes, with several greens dangerously jutting out into small lakes. There are some very risky approach shots for the flag-chasers amongst you. The island green short par-3 3rd is one of the water-guarded gems, so to the par-5 17th with a sliver of fairway providing a tight landing area for the second shot - water in play to left and right. A few waterfall features, most notably at the long par-4 18th, complement the good-quality earthmounding and excellent (often deep and straight-faced) bunkering - all of which combines to create a top quality golfing environment at Tanah Merah. As with its companion course, maintenance and presentation are first class, with flowers and shrubs adding garden-like touches in many places. Although Singapore's international airport is on this eastern side of the island, any noise intrusions should not detract from your enjoyment of the superb golf on offer at Tanah Merah.
