Champagne Sports Resort

4-star: generally an excellent standard golf course, well worth visiting.

Where2Golf says:

Champagne Sports Resort: Few 18-hole championship golf courses enjoy such spectacular mountain scenery as is found here at Champagne Sports. Located in the central Drakensburg area, with a magnificent backdrop provided by the Champagne and Catkin Peaks, this course offers an excellent golfing challenge and a scenic experience that is in itself reward enough. Whilst badly misdirected shots will be punished, particularly in the wetlands and at the water protected holes, the fairways here are generally wide, bordered by light rough. Hugh Baiocchi's enjoyable layout contains 84 well-located bunkers that add to the course's good looks and overall challenges. With significant elevation changes at some holes, though less undulation on others, you will be required to make a few blind tee shots, and may find scoring easier on your second and subsequent outings.

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.

Koksijde Golf ter Hille Golf Club: on what was previously open farmland, an enjoyable and challenging links-style layout has been crafted.
