Where2Golf says:

Pezula Championship Golf Course: Variety, a roller-coaster ride (especially if the wind is blowing) and magnificent views ensure Pezula's place as one of the Garden Route's most exciting golf destinations. This impressive and undulating tract of coastal land, is home to a thoroughly absorbing and always challenging golf course. The front-nine keeps you a kilometre or so back from the Ocean, on a ridge of land from which the views down into Knysna are spectacular. The long and tough opener (stroke index 1, par-5) will help dispel any illusions that your round will be a gentle stroll in the park. A precise tee-shot and a second over a ravine are needed to avoid the dense fynbos vegetation and set up your approach to a seriously large and extravagantly undulating green. Thankfully the holes do not come much tougher than this. Also starting from the clubhouse, the back-nine takes you quickly down to the cliff's edge and some close-up views of the Indian Ocean. The potentially driveable par-4 14th is played alongside the cliffs, but beware, all manner of trouble awaits the errant drive. For much of the time the layout here will feel quite open, but stray offline and dense fynbos awaits, stray too far offline and some of the growing number of large villas spread around the course might also come into play. The more you play Pezula the better you'll understand where to "work" the ball, and the more you'll marvel at the course's dramatic undulations and ever-present and majestic views.

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.

Did you know?

Pezula, sitting on its lofty cliff-top perch is well-named. It is an African word meaning "high up with the gods". Pezula Resort & Spa was the vision of Pezula group Chairman, Keith Stewart, whose dream was to create a luxury resort in one of the world's most scenic locations. Stewart, born in the UK and raised in Zimbabwe, returned to Africa in the 1990's having made his mark in America. In 2000 he bought the land he was to call Pezula. The Resort Hotel & Spa are now operated by Conrad, a brand of Hilton Hotels.
