Where2Golf says:

Halmstad Golfklubb (Norra banan/North course): Often referred to as "Tylosand", Halmstad Golf Club is one of Sweden's top Stay&Play venues. In 1967 it was decided to split the original 18-hole layout as part of a project to create two championship courses at Halmstad. The original excellent back-nine was incorporated into the new North course. With the addition of nine new holes designed by Nils Skold (the North's middle section from 5 to 13), the North course quickly developed a reputation as one of the best courses in continental Europe.

The immaculate 110-metre tee box on the North's par-4 opener, leads you into an elegantly sweeping right-to-left dogleg hole, a clear portent of the quality of the golf course that lies ahead. The terrain here is more undulating than on the South course, which arguably provides the biggest difference between the two. The North's huge greens and stylish bunkering culminate in a really excellent closing stretch (integrated from Halmstad's original 18-hole course). Included in these finishing holes is the picture-perfect 16th, a wonderful par-3 framed by tall mature trees, with water to cross in front of the green.

As on the South course, the individual sculpting of each hole through the surrounding pine forest creates a wonderfully natural and tranquil golfing environment. Listen out for waves breaking on the seashore when you play the par-4 17th; the sea's not far away, although you'll not look onto it from the golf course. Tylosand's North course is regularly rated as one of Sweden's top courses - it's certainly one of the most popular (a reasonably priced green fee makes sure of that).

At this Stay & Play venue, the on-site accommodation is located close to the golf facilities.
