Above distances are for the Links course. Also at PGA Sweden National is the 18-hole Lakes course (par-72; 6,781 m from back tees) and 9-hole par-3 Short course, which comprises full-length par-3s of similar quality to the Links and Lakes courses; also designed by Kyle Phillips.

PGA Sweden National (Links course): Home to two excellent championship courses, PGA Sweden National was born, it is said, with a little help from a wee dram or two. That was enough to tip a long-held desire into the realms of a concrete plan. And that plan was to create a top-class golfing facility for its PGA professionals and coaches, as well as members and visitors.
The task of designing PGA Sweden National's Lakes and Links courses was entrusted to renowned golf course architect Kyle Phillips. The highly-acclaimed Scottish-style Links course opened for play in 2009, a year ahead of its equally impressive sibling, the Lakes course.
The Links is designed as a timeless (and treeless) 18-hole layout in the great tradition of Scottish seaside courses, with as little ruffling of nature's feathers as possible. The course has many typical links characteristics with several square-cut tee-boxes, large expansive greens and small deep bunkers with steep edges.
With 20 meters of elevation change in the layout, there is some rolling ebb and flow to several holes, while a natural creek wanders alongside and through the two closing holes on the front-nine loop, and throughout the back-nine. Slightly more compact than the Lakes course, the Links also presents a wonderful test for your overall game.

As PGA Sweden National's literature says, "it started, as great ideas often do, with a bottle of whisky ... and the idea felt just as good the day after". That idea, passionately felt by Michael Sorling, the then CEO of the Swedish PGA, was to create a special venue for Sweden's golf professionals and coaches. The original concept envisaged a complex with three 18-hole courses, which was later revised to two. Thirteen years after the whisky bottle was opened, the first course (the Links) opened for play, soon to be followed by the Lakes course.
The Links course is home to two old mining sites. Legend has it that a young farmer’s son fell into one of these sites, and his father's attempts to rescue him failed. They say his cries for help are still to be heard on long light summer nights.
