Mahogany Run Golf Course

4-star: generally an excellent standard golf course, well worth visiting.

Where2Golf says:

Mahogany Run Golf Course is a well-rated and pleasantly testing layout. This tree-lined and open parkland course should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. The course nestles between the scenic hills and shoreline of St Thomas’ scenic North side.

Rising and falling over a gentle valley from 80-200 feet above sea level, players that exchange distance for accuracy will be well rewarded here. Perhaps most awe-inspiring is the Devil’s Triangle, a three hole stretch (13, 14 and 15) that challenges the best of players. Included in the Devil’s Triangle, the par-3 14th hole sits 200 feet above a rocky inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, offering breathtaking views of the neighbouring U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

On most days, a steady Caribbean Trade wind prevails, sweeping across the scenic fairways and greens, and adding to your golfing challenges, depending on the severity of the wind. A well-crafted but tight layout, and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course.
