Port Royal Golf Club (Planter's Row course)

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1984

Port Royal Golf Club (Planter's Row course): Planter's Row is the most recent of the Port Royal courses, providing a pleasant though unspectacular layout in a more tree-lined setting than the other Port Royal courses. Some of the tightest fairways on Hilton Head Island may inhibit getting out the big timber, and will certainly require some good quality shot-making. Water is also a factor on several holes. A solid part of Hilton's Head's offering, which can provide a good start to your Island adventure.

Latest Golf Course Reviews

Traigh Golf Course (pronounced "try", and meaning "beach" in Gaelic): You'll find this nine-hole seaside gem on the scenic coast road (as opposed to the more inland and quicker A830) between Arisaig and Morar. Although not on the well-beaten path of Scotland's "trophy" courses, if you are passing through this area, it's a must play.
