Makena Beach & Golf Club: GOLF COURSE WAS CLOSED IN 2013, and the resort hotel also closed (in 2016). The redevelopment plan envisages the resort being replaced by a private beachfront community with high-end condos and a private golf course. Check for current status before planning a visit.
[Original Where2Golf description]: The original golf experience at Makena involved two 18-hole layouts, the North and South courses. With the closure of the higher ranked South course in 2008, the surviving North course remained a well-rated and pleasantly testing layout. However, it too was closed (in 2013) pending a major redevelopment program for the whole site, and a proposed renovation of the North course (which as far as we know has not yet materialised).
Check with club (if and when it reopens).
Non-metal spike facility.
