Bart and his older brother Brad both played on the PGA Tour and PGA Senior Tour, both notching up wins on each of the tours. In Bart's case, during a career hampered by injuries, it took 187 attempts before PGA Tour success came at the Texas Open in 2004. This was quickly followed in 2005 by further impressive wins at the Memorial Tournament and The Tour Championship. His two PGA Senior Tour wins both came at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En-Joie GC in New York (2013, 2018).

Bart tragically passed away aged 59 after being involved in a fatal car accident.
