Billy Casper has been responsible for a number of course designs, which include (but are not limited to): Revere GC (Concord & Lexington courses), and Sun City Summerlin (Highlands, Palm & Eagle Crest courses). Both these design projects are in greater Las Vegas, and both done in collaboration with Greg Nash.

Did you know?

Casper's highly successful professional golf career saw him become one of the most prolific winners on the PGA Tour between 1956 and 1975. He accumulated 51 PGA Tour titles, and nine on the US Seniors Tour. He also competed on eight consecutive USA Ryder Cup teams (1961-75), and captained the team once (1979). The USA won all nine of these Ryder Cups.

In the period 1964-70, when Messrs Palmer, Player and Nicklaus were firing on all cylinders, Casper won the most PGA Tour titles (27) out of this illustrious quartet. Outside North America he also notched-up two Brazilian Opens, two Hassan II Trophies, the Mexican Open, Trophée Lancôme and an Italian Open.

Casper wrote about his career and personal perspectives on golf in the excellently titled 'The Big Three and Me'. Casper also founded a golf course management and marketing company (Billy Casper Golf), which is now the second largest operator of golf courses in the United States.

Tournaments

The Masters: The 88th Masters Tournament at Augusta National sees LIV golfer Jon Rahm defend his title against the world’s best. Pressing hard will be world No.1 and 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler and world No.2 Rory McIlroy (April 11-14).

Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).

Who's Who

Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.

Marco Simone Golf & Country Club

Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
