Roll of Honour

MAJORS (1): The Masters (2016). Walker Cup player (2007). Ryder Cup player (2016). Multiple professional wins in Europe, USA, Middle East and South Africa.

Did you know?

Willett's excellent amateur career culminated in a Walker Cup appearance in 2007 and being ranked the world's No.1 amateur golfer in March 2008. He turned professional in May 2008, successfully negotiating the European Tour Q-School on his first attempt.

In his debut season on the European Tour, Willett chalked up eight top ten finishes. His breakthrough win came in 2012, when he lifted the BMW International Open trophy, but only after the fourth hole of a sudden-death playoff against experienced Australian golfer Marcus Fraser.

Further European Tour wins and top ten finishes followed as Willett progressed up the world rankings, consolidating his position as one of the top players on the European Tour. In 2016 he emphatically underlined his progress in professional golf with a win at Augusta National and his first major championship title. 2016 is also the year he debuted in the Ryder Cup, although with a less than impressive 0-3-0 (W-L-H) record.

Who's Who

Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
