Starting out as a cigarette salesman, Frost quickly established himself as one of South Africa's leading golfers, turning professional in 1981. He joined the European Tour in 1982, and then the PGA Tour in 1985, where he recorded 10 PGA Tour victories.

Success continued for the highly-accomplished South African golfer on the senior tours, where he recorded his first major championship win in the Regions Tradition tournament in 2013. Frost continues to play on the top senior tours, while also running a successful wine producing business, selling under the "David Frost" label. His father also owned a vineyard.
