Nicknamed “Bones”, due to his tall, slender stature, Don January turned pro in 1956, at age 26. He went on to win 10 PGA Tour titles, including the 1967 PGA Championship. He also earned the Vardon Trophy for the PGA of America's lowest scoring average (70.56) in 1976 at age 47. He represented the USA Ryder Cup team in both 1965 and 1977.
