Did you know?

After a successful amateur career, which included winning the Australian Boys' Amateur in 2004, Day turned professional in July 2006 and started playing PGA Tour events, mainly through sponsors' exemptions. He played on the Nationwide "satellite" tour in 2007, before rejoining the main tour in 2008. He experienced his first PGA Tour win in the Byron Nelson Championship in 2010.

After second-place finishes in the 2011 Masters and US Open, and in the 2013 US Open, Day made his major championship breakthrough at Whistling Straits in 2015. Aged 27, he held off the determined challenge of Jordan Spieth to claim the US PGA Championship title by three shots. Later in 2015, Day became the world's No.1 ranked male golfer.
