Ladies European Tour winner. Ladies European Tour Rookie of the Year (2004).
Blomqvist turned professional in late-2003 and didn't have to wait long to claim her first victory. In only her second event, she won the 2004 edition of the Pam Golding Ladies International on the Nedbank Women's Golf Tour in South Africa.
Played as the Finnair Masters (Aug 29-31). Second-placed Ursula Wikstrom (Fin) finished 1 shot behind home country winner Blomqvist (Fin). [Helsinki GC, Tali, Helsinki, Finland].
Played as the inaugural OTP Bank Ladies Central European Open (July 16-18). Second-placed Emma Zachrisson (Swe) and Gina Scott (NZ) finished 4 shots behind first-time Ladies European Tour winner Blomqvist (Fin). [Old Lake GC, Tata, Hungary].
Blomqvist (Fin) won the LET 2004 Ryder Cup Wales Rookie of the Year Award as the leading first-season player. 19 year-old Blomqvist finished seventh on the Tour's (points-based) Order of Merit, and had winnings of €105,020 during the season.
