Baker was a consistent player on the European Tour in the late-1980s and '90s, capping his achievements with an appearance in the 1993 Ryder Cup. Although on the losing side, Baker contributed 3 points out of a possible four, including a 2-up victory over Corey Pavin in the Sunday singles.
On the European Senior Tour, Baker enjoyed a hugely successful year in 2023, winning four times on the Tour and bagging the season-long Order of Merit title.
