After attending the University of Stirling in Scotland, and enjoying a highly successful amateur career, "Mimmie" turned professional in 1996 (age 23). She has so far enjoyed greater success on the US-based LPGA Tour, but also regularly competes in Europe, and plays on the European Solheim Cup team.
