Did you know?

During a stunning amateur career Rahm played collegiate golf for the Arizona State Sun Devils. His haul of 11 college tournament wins ranks second in the university's history behind another famous alumni, Phil Mickelson. He achieved the status of best American College player, receiving the Ben Hogan Award in 2015 and 2016, and was also the No.1 ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for a record total of 60 weeks. In the 2016 US Open he was the lowest scoring amateur, finishing the tournament in a tie for 23rd place.

Turning pro in 2016, Rahm chalked up his first PGA Tour win in January 2017 at Torrey Pines. That was followed in July by his first European Tour win in the prestigious Irish Open.

Finishing 2017 in style, Rahm was also victorious in the European Tour's final event of the season, the highly coveted DP World Tour Championship. He won this event again in 2019, but on this second occasion it also came with a $3 million first prize, and enough points to secure the season-long European Tour Order of Merit (Race to Dubai) title, and a bonus of $2 million.
