Access to Swaziland is relatively straightforward, especially from north-eastern cities in South Africa such as Nelspruit or Johannesburg / Pretoria. Entry visas for most nationalities can be obtained at the border crossings (but worth checking this before your visit). The golf course is located just off Hwy 3, about 8 km south of Swaziland's capital, Mbabane, and 2-3 km south of the village of Ezulwini. Travelling south, Royal Swazi Spa and golf course is on your right.

This picturesque course nestles on the side of a hill, in the lovely Ezulwini Valley. At only 6,166 metres (5258 metres for women) in length, the par-72 layout opened in 1966, and has been laid out on the slopes of the Lebombo Mountain Range, which slopes into the Ezulwini Valley.
The first nine holes are flat, while the second and more scenic nine takes you on a trip through hills and dales, including the famous walk up "Thrombosis Hill" from the 10th green to the 11th tee. From the top of the hill you will be rewarded with some of the best views of the valley.
The layout makes effective use of the sloping terrain to either steer the wayward hitter's ball off into the rough or guide the well hit tee shot safely down the fairway. Bigger hitters will relish the par-5 12th, where a solid drive can catch the slope and leave your ball only a wedge away from the green.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.

Royal Swazi Spa, formerly known as Royal Swazi Sun, seems to go under either name. Royal Swazi's hotels (see below) and golf course are members of the Sun International Group, which owns and operates many resort destinations in southern Africa, including the Sun City Resort north-west of Johannesburg, Wild Coast Sun near Port Edward and Fish River Sun near Port Alfred (all detailed in Where2Golf.com).
Swaziland is an independent country, separate from, but bordered on three sides by South Africa. Mozambique also borders Swaziland to the east. The royal house of Swaziland dates back 400 years, and is one of Africa's last ruling dynasties. About 95 percent of the population are black Africans called Swazi, though small minorities of white Europeans and Zulus also live there.
The golf course is home to the Swazi Open, a regular Sunshine Tour event, past winners of which include Ernie Els.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
