Leave the southernmost section of the Brussels Ring at exit 24, and follow the N27 direction Nivelles/Lillois. After 2.4 km at traffic lights in the centre of Lillois-Witterzee turn left into Rue Raymond Lebleux direction Genappe/Golf d'Hulencourt. After 1.9 km turn left into Hulencourt golf.
Hulencourt (formerly known as Golf Club d'Hulencourt) seeks to promote the best of lifestyle and golf opportunities, with considerable ongoing investment by the owners in all its facilities (soon to include onsite accommodation). The club's championship Vallon course has realised its potential as the best of the "newer" parkland courses in Belgium.
Located in a pleasantly rural parkland environment, the "must play" Vallon course is kept company by the club's nine-hole pitch-and-putt Verger course. The Vallon offers 18 championship holes laid out on relatively open, gently undulating terrain. Much attention has been paid to creating a variety of golfing challenges, with water, OB, swaying fescues and substantive bunkering all playing their part. Generous-width fairways and well-maintained subtly sloping greens are the surfaces you'll want to hit.
Several holes embrace a line of small lakes that run through the lower part of the course, with the two front-nine par-3s making good use of these ponds. Around the greens, the slick run-off areas will test your short game skills.
Hulencourt has matured well, under the watchful eye of owner Patrick Solvay (of the Solvay chemical company family). Extensive modifications during 2018-19 has created a top-quality Tour player's course, at just over 7,300 yards from the tips. For lesser mortals, the remaining four sets of tees provide a more manageable test. Definitely one of Belgium's top-rated golfing gems.

The Golf Club at Hulencourt is built on a historic estate, with the manor-farm buildings dating from the 17th-century. The Club's motto, "nihil melius quam bona vita", aptly translates as "there's nothing better than the good life", which Hulencourt clearly seeks to deliver to its members and visiting guests.

The Grand Hotel Waterloo is located within easy reach of the centre of Waterloo and just 3 km from one of Europe's most famous battlefields (well worth a visit !). The hotel's main restaurant, La Sucrerie (sugar factory), is particularly noteworthy, not least from an architectural standpoint. Many top-quality courses in the area will keep golfers fully occupied.
