Predator Ridge (Ridge)
Predator Ridge Resort (Ridge course): Two superb and contrasting golf courses await at the impressive Predator Ridge resort. The original links-style Predator layout, was joined in 2010 by an equally impressive and more woodland-style companion. The Doug Carrick designed Ridge course, like its sibling, is immensely natural, scenic and challenging.
Where the Predator thrives in an open, links-style setting, the Ridge weaves through a tighter environment of woodland and rocky outcrops. You'll find greater elevation changes here, with several holes making dramatic use of the naturally undulating terrain.
One of many scenic highlights on this out-and-back layout comes at the turn, where the short par-4 10th plays steeply downhill to a green protected by a "maple-leaf" bunker on one side and a "Bear's paw" on the other. The Ridge's scenic highlights are not however just confined to stylish bunkering.
Although the three opening and closing holes are unobtrusively flanked by residences, the middle two-thirds of the course is characterised by a fabulous interplay of natural woodland, protruding rock formations and spectacular views onto the wide expanse of Lake Okanagan.
In this ruggedly beautiful "high-country" environment, tranquillity and a variety of wildlife are never in short supply. Which of Predator Ridge's two wonderful layouts you prefer will inevitably be a matter of personal preference. Our strong advise is when you are here, play them both, and then play them both again.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Golf season is April thru mid-Oct.
Golf carts compulsory; carts are fitted with GPS.

Women’s (British) Open: the last women’s major championship of the season is hosted by Royal Porthcawl GC. It’s the first time this fabulous seaside links course has hosted the event (July 31-Aug 3).
Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
