Coamo Springs' Director of Golf, Jesus Rodriguez, is the younger brother of legendary Hall of Famer, Chi Chi Rodriguez. Jesus also enjoyed a successful career as a professional golfer, on one occasion winning in Japan on the same day Chi Chi was winning a PGA Tour event in the US.

Parador Banos de Coamo is located in a quiet, hilly area, adjacent to the public hot springs. The two-story hotel occupies a restored colonial-style building dating from 1847, with modern motel-style buildings also in the grounds. Features include an open-air bar, restaurant, swimming pool and pool with water from the hot springs. Comments range from cosy, rustic and intimate, to old and in need of some renovation.
