Where2Golf says:

Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort: This relatively modern and open golf course is laid out in the grounds of the historic Bowood Estate, deep in rural Wiltshire. The addition of many bumps and mounds on the course has accentuated the naturally undulating terrain, while giving good definition to most of the holes. From the tee you will look onto relatively generous fairways, flanked by hazards that are generally clear to see. The large and often two-tiered greens are heavily defended by substantive bunkering, with water also to be avoided on a couple of holes. From the course you will enjoy pleasant views onto rural countryside, which includes the rolling Wiltshire Downs, complete with a chalky white horse carved into one hillside.
