Where2Golf says:

Hindhead Golf Club: If its your first visit you can be forgiven for thinking this a rather eccentric and technical course; the front nine played in the bottom of two tree-lined valleys with tight and challenging holes, the back-nine on less undulating terrain - easier on the legs but still presenting a tough test. On future visits you'll begin to appreciate what a heathland gem Hindhead is. The rough is uncompromising and doesn't yield up stray balls easily, but the short grass is very well maintained and well worth staying on. In this scenic woodland setting, you may catch a glimpse of resident deer, or look out over the surrounding wooded hills - one of the best views of which is from the 19th hole !
