Trevose Golf & Country Club: From the clubhouse and first tee, Trevose's Championship course stretches out before you, resplendently making its way down to the Atlantic seashore. Magnificent sea views and a relatively open and rewarding links golfing challenge awaits.
The often generously wide fairways, occasional bunkering and not overly penal rough may set-up the opportunity to card a good score, although the strength of the Atlantic breezes may conspire otherwise. As with many of Harry Colt's designs, the course is arranged in two loops of 9 holes, the front-nine taking you down and alongside the coastal dunes, the back-nine forming an inland links, from which the sea remains visible from just about every hole.
The product of generally excellent green-keeping, the putting surfaces here at Trevose rank alongside the best in England's south-west. Benefitting from comfortable onsite accommodation and two additional nine-hole layouts (the Headland and Short courses), this is a classic seaside links venue that not surprisingly draws golfers from near and far.
