Where2Golf says:

Golf Club de Lyon (Les Brocards course): Here at "Villette D'Anthon" (as Lyon GC is commonly known), the two excellent 18-hole courses are aptly named. Les Sangliers (wild boar in English) is the tougher, longer and more demanding layout for mid and low handicappers. Its companion course, Les Brocards (young roe deer) may give you a gentler outing.

Both courses emphasise accuracy versus length from the tee, a concept that is constantly underlined as you progress around Les Brocards. Although defended less fiercely by water hazards than Les Sangliers, Lyon's No.2 layout still contains plenty of tight and testing holes. Anything hit too far offline from the tee will probably find its way into trees or thick grass, which routinely border the holes. Your approaches into the often small, but nicely undulating greens will also need to avoid plenty of stylish, dish-shaped bunkering.

Amongst many attractive holes, the dog-legging par-5 12th and par-4 17th are played into greens that are beautifully framed by tall Scots pines. Better golfers will no doubt relish the potential birdie opportunities on offer at several short par-4s, while all players will need to produce top-quality tee-shots on the long par-3s at 14 and 18. Both these one-shot holes are played through tight, tree-lined avenues to well-bunkered greens.

Although shorter than the Sangliers course, Les Brocards is a pleasantly testing and well maintained layout. An enjoyable companion course to stand alongside and rub shoulders with its more renowned stablemate.
