Tiger Woods (USA) was third with 2663 pts. The Cup is awarded based on points earned during the regular PGA Tour season and in the four playoff events.

McIlroy (N.Ire) won the PGA of America Vardon Trophy, recording the season's lowest adjusted scoring average on the PGA Tour (over a minimum of 60 rounds). Jim Furyk (USA) was second with 69.30; Jason Dufner (USA) was third with 69.45. Tiger Woods (USA) averaged 68.90, but became ineligible for the Trophy after withdrawing from the WGC-Cadillac Championship.

Tiger Woods (USA) was second with $6,133,158; Brandt Snedeker (USA) was third with $4,989,739. McIlroy became the second player to top the US and European money-lists in the same season (just a year earlier, Luke Donald was the first golfer ever to achieve this feat).

McIlroy (N.Ire) won the Harry Vardon Trophy as the European Tour 2012 Race to Dubai winner. McIlroy finished the season with European Tour earnings of €5,519,118, which included his Race to Dubai winner's bonus of $1,000,000. Justin Rose (Eng) was second with €3,768,345; Louis Oosthuizen (RSA) was third with €3,187,364. McIlroy became the second golfer (after Luke Donald in 2011) to top the end-of-season money-lists on both the European and US PGA Tours.

2012 Sunshine Tour Order of Merit (and associated Sid Brews Trophy). Won by Grace (RSA) with season earnings of R2,760,319. George Coetzee (RSA) was second with R1,930,564; Jaco Van Zyl (RSA) was third with R1,655,987. Charl Schwartzel (RSA) was the Tour's leading money winner with R3,203,886, and Louis Oosthuizen (RSA) won R1.7mill, but both did not play the minimum six tournaments to be ranked in the Order of Merit.
McIlroy (N.Ire) won the European Tour Race to Dubai Golfer of the Year Award, determined by a panel of representatives from the European Tour, golf writers, and TV and radio commentators.

Rory McIlroy: with his 2025 win in The Masters, Rory joined the pantheon of golfing greats who have achieved a career Grand Slam of men’s majors ... Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods are the only others in this select band.
Bernhard Langer: he may have played in his last Masters Tournament, but the 67-year-old German will be trying to extend his own record, and win a 13th senior major title at the 36th Regions Tradition. (May 15-18).
