Where2Golf says:

St Anne's Golf Club occupies a wonderfully natural environment on the Bull Island Nature Reserve (a protected bird sanctuary) which it also shares with the Royal Dublin Golf Club. Although on the doorstep of one of Europe's capital cities, this unique location is wonderfully unspoilt and natural. It makes for a memorable, yet challenging golf outing - the level of challenge increasing as wind speeds pick-up. The sand dunes here are not overly large, but are quite sufficient to give character and definition to the relatively flat terrain. These small sand hills also support the growth of ball-snagging longer grass beyond the fairways. A recent programme of investment and upgrade has enhanced the reputation of St Anne's, bringing the course and clubhouse closer to the standards set by its Royal neighbour. With unspoilt links land all around, and splendid views of Howth Head and out across Dublin Bay, here is a thoroughly enjoyable seaside links layout - a Dublin course that's growing in stature all the time.
