Where2Golf says:

Circolo Golf Torino, La Mandria (Giallo course): Here in the La Mandria Regional Park just north of Turin, you'll find two of northwest Italy's best known golf clubs. Each club is home to two championship courses. In the most northerly section of the park is Circolo Golf Torino (Turin Golf Club), home to the Blue and Yellow courses. Sitting just beneath it is Royal Park "I Roveri", with layouts by Robert Trent Jones Sr and Michael Hurdzan.

Circumnavigating Torino's slightly higher rated Blue course, the Giallo/Yellow course also lays down a pleasantly challenging test of golf in a predominantly tree-lined environment. A tight opening par-4 gets proceedings underway, leading you into these delightfully natural former royal hunting grounds. Things remain relatively, though not impossibly tight throughout much of the your round on the Yellow.

Good course management and yardage calculation is required to steer you through (or over) several dog-legging holes. At the par-5 10th, par-4 12th and closing par-4 18th, the dog-legs are not so much gentle curves as sharp right-angles. On all three of these holes, as at one or two others, water ditches also come into play. The excellent par-3 14th, demands a long carry over a small lake.

In this pleasantly quiet and natural parkland environment, with silver birch and oak predominating, both courses benefit from good quality maintenance and excellent greens to putt on. Occasional views onto the southern foothills of the Alps further enhance the golfing experience here.

Located in the expansive and ancient hunting grounds of Parco La Mandria ("park of the herd"), you will find two almost adjoining golf clubs: Royal Park Golf "I Roveri" and Circolo Golf Torino (Turin Golf Club). The two layouts of Royal Park (the Trent Jones Sr and Pramerica courses) are located just to the south of Torino Golf Club's two courses (the Blue and Yellow). | The Blue course at Torino has recently played host to the prestigious Italian Open Championship (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Torino). | The green fee price is for a day ticket and allows play on both Torino's courses during your visit.
