This iconic Kenyan golf course was laid out in 1937 on a former coffee plantation donated by Baroness Karen Von Blixen. In that same year the Danish baroness, author and plantation owner published her memoirs in the book Out of Africa.
Out of Africa was adapted in 1985 into what became a hugely successful film starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, with a memorable soundtrack written by veteran English composer John Barry.
Kenya's 2nd best course (Golf Digest, 2022).
