Tropicana
Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (East course): Tropicana offers 27 excellent holes of championship golf (on the 18-hole East and 9-hole West courses), in combination with some of the most impressive country club facilities anywhere in Malaysia.
The layout takes you on a tour of some of the capital's most expensive, often mansion-like, real estate. Although this top-end housing is arranged around most of the course perimeter, with three towering apartment blocks dominating the view on the back-nine (East course), Tropicana is nonetheless a very pleasing, constantly undulating and excellently laid out golf course.
There may be some local golfers who are wary of playing here lest they put a ball through a mansion-sized window, but unless you hit an unpredictably severe hook shot with your driver, the real estate (and its discreet protective fencing) will not be in harm's way.
On the East course (18-hole) and West course (9-hole) you will find top-quality green-keeping, as well as a fine array of bunkering and water hazards, some with rock features and waterfalls to enhance the often garden like qualities of this thoroughly captivating parkland layout.
Name plates will help you identify the wonderful variety of trees planted around this elegant and attractive course. Good-width fairways and a wide band of short semi-rough make ball-finding easy and can create an impression of a relatively easy-going course, provided you stay out of the water, most prevalent on the East's front-nine and the West course.
Visitors welcome on weekdays; much more restricted at weekends. Floodlit night golf available on 9-hole West course; holes 17 & 18 on East course are also floodlit.
Must book in advance. Maximum handicap: men 24; women 36.
Golf carts available for hire. Caddies available.
Excellent, including a two-tier floodlit driving range.
Tropicana Golf & Country Resort offers unsurpassed country club comforts and facilities for both golf enthusiasts as well as the entire family.
At the centre of the TGCC’s success is its award-winning Clubhouse, one of the largest in Malaysia. The Clubhouse is the centre of a wide-range of activities for members and residents of the Resort alike.
The affluent "township" of Tropicana Golf & Country Resort is located in the prime suburb of Petaling Jaya. Tropicana's 625-acre (253-hectare) gated community is home to residents who favour the convenience and comfort of resort facilities right on their doorstep.

The Masters: The 88th Masters Tournament at Augusta National sees LIV golfer Jon Rahm defend his title against the world’s best. Pressing hard will be world No.1 and 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler and world No.2 Rory McIlroy (April 11-14).
Chevron Championship: the women’s major championship season gets underway for the second year at its new Carlton Woods home outside Houston, Texas. World No.2 Lilia Vu defends (April 18-21).
Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.
