Diamante (Dunes)
The Dunes Golf Course at Diamante is one of the top-rated and finest championship layouts in Mexico. The excellent seaside links course contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. The layout sits in a dramatic oceanside dunescape, the like of which is more commonly found in Britain and Ireland.
“You’re either playing toward the ocean, along the ocean or away from the ocean,” was the comment of course designer Davis Love III. “At times you’re down in the shelter of the dunes, and then pop up to be surprised all over again by the incredible ocean views.”
The Dunes is characterised by a dramatic meeting of desert, white dunes, blue ocean and green fairways. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and scenery that will thrill the senses. In 2015 the Dunes course was joined by a second 18, the Tiger Woods designed El Cardonal layout.
Diamante is a private club, and will eventually become a members only facility. Currently some outside visitor play is permitted on application to the Club and for guests of the Resort at Diamante.
