Where2Golf says:

Utrechtse Golf Club "De Pan": From first to last, this is one of the great heathland courses of Europe (Britain and Ireland included). Every hole here is full of character and charm, individually sculpted and unlike any hole that comes before or after. The pleasantly undulating terrain and rolling fairways are complemented by excellent bunkering, and give rise to several blind tee and approach shots, or (as at the par-4 6th) both.

Don't be fooled by the relatively wide fairway at the opening par-5, many later holes get distinctly tighter. Several require good-length carries over swathes of heather, which is also much in play if you stray too far offline. At the fabulous short par-4 10th, the fairway narrows to just a few slender metres!

Although quite tightly tree-lined for much of the round, that's not the case at the closing trio. Played from wonderfully elevated tee-boxes, these last three holes embrace an open area of heathland, where naturally growing heather predominates - as it would have done in days of old.

What binds everything together is the quiet, natural splendour of the wooded heathland setting, the excellent quality of upkeep and Harry Colt's masterful design. Many rate this the best inland course in the Netherlands; we see little reason to argue with that.
