Pestana Beloura Golf Resort: This easy going resort course, not overly long, with light bunkering and flattish fairways should appeal to golfers of all levels. Beloura is a US-style golf real estate development, with plenty of new housing lining the fairways.
The Sintra Hills provide a pleasant view from several parts of the course in contrast to the brightly coloured and neat residences of the Quinta da Beloura estate.
Although generally good width fairways, there is usually limited room beyond them, so many drives look tight from the tee boxes, not least on the five par-5 holes, and notably at the 1st and 10th. The fairways and often small greens are good quality and well-maintained.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Maximum handicap: men 27; women 35.
Soft spikes only. Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.
