Where2Golf says:

Powfoot Golf Club: Glorious views across the Solway Firth from most parts of the course and a very respectable links layout, draws many visiting golfers to sample the undoubted pleasures of golfing at Powfoot. You will not see the towering sand dunes associated with many of Scotland's better known links courses, but there is gorse in plentiful supply - underlining Powfoot's seaside links credentials, and keeping you on the straight and narrow on several tee shots. The course, however, is not overly punishing, unless shots are really wayward. The usually excellent greens will thoroughly test your putting skills, with their many slopes and borrows. One of Scotland's lesser known seaside delights.

Entertainment includes a procession, sports, field displays and massed pipe bands.
