Arcos Gardens Golf & Country Estate

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 2006

Arcos Gardens Golf & Country Estate is a low density residential community, surrounded by rolling hills, winding rivers and lakes. The Country Club & Estate are designed with luxury living very much in mind. Upscale villas and apartments line a few of the holes, but at the moment the gently undulating terrain beyond the course displays an abundance of olive groves, orange trees, cotton fields, sunflowers and vineyards. Laid out in two nine-hole loops, wide, forgiving fairways place a premium on accuracy, not least with a plethora of fairway and greenside bunkering to be avoided along the way. The greens at the par-3 6th and par-5 16th are dangerously flanked by small ponds, while a small creek winds its way through the risk-reward par-5 9th hole. A much larger pond threatens your tee and approach shots on the leftside of the very good par-4 18th. From many parts of the course you enjoy views onto the surrounding countryside, and across to the cliff-top town of Arcos de la Frontera.
