Los Naranjos
Los Naranjos Golf Club: With views over sea and mountains and an impressive array of villas on surrounding hillsides, this is not only one of the classic Costa del Sol layouts, but also a pleasantly scenic one. Interesting slopes and contours, several tree-lined holes and many water hazards characterise the stronger front-nine.
This challenging and varied layout climbs down at the par-4 10th to a much flatter and less interesting back-nine, although its on this lower section of the course that the orange trees (los naranjos) flourish, alongside many palms. The good-width fairways and absence of any real rough should allow a reasonable score to be carded, at least on the inward nine.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Proof of handicap required.
Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.
