Where2Golf says:

The San Roque Club (New course): From good to great ! A new course at San Roque was always likely to be good, but it was a welcome surprise to get something as great as the Old Course. The New course occupies high ground on the San Roque estate and as such provides stunning views over the sea, surrounding villa-clad hills and distant mountains. Exposure to the wind is also the case. The undulating course layout, like the Old Course, will push your game to its limit, with each hole presenting a different challenge. Perry Dye has employed the widest array of design ideas on this course. Bunkering is of every imaginable shape, size and depth - be it sand or grass, pot or sleepered, small or gigantic. A few stretches are more wooded, others more open, and a few blind drives are also required. The often small greens demand accurate appoach work of the highest order - the long par-4 1st hole underlining that fact. Water is employed on only four holes, but on each occasion it closely guards one side of the green. The fairways are immaculate, but not overly wide, especially on several very testing short par-4's. Beyond the fairways there is penal rough, although often ablaze with wild flowers and beautiful to look at - beautiful deep-rough !! And there we have the New Course, both a beauty and a beast !
