3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1935

Flommens Golfklubb: Four things you won't forget about Flommen: its flat; there's water a-plenty; beach huts and you heard but didn't see the sea (unless you made a thirty second detour to peak over the line of dunes that keep the sea hidden from the course). Sharing a boundary fence with the better known Falsterbo, Flommen also has plenty of brack-ish water lakes and ditches, good bunkering, tight-ish fairways, and several areas of semi-rough that are a mix of sand and light grass - okay for both finding and playing your ball - and infinitely better to land on than the water. Not as well known as its illustrious neighbour, but certainly a very pleasant golf course to sharpen up your straight hitting, especially if the winds blowing (as it often does in these parts).

Latest Golf Course Reviews

Traigh Golf Course (pronounced "try", and meaning "beach" in Gaelic): You'll find this nine-hole seaside gem on the scenic coast road (as opposed to the more inland and quicker A830) between Arisaig and Morar. Although not on the well-beaten path of Scotland's "trophy" courses, if you are passing through this area, it's a must play.
