Stenungsund Golfklubb

4-PLUS: Must play course - excellent standard; worthy of 4½ stars.

Est. 1992

Stenungsund Golfklubb: This is a picturesque setting for a relatively open golf course which has small rocky hills, partly forested, nestling alongside the course's boundaries. The naturalness of the surroundings and golfing challenge are captured in most holes, and only the oversize greens feel somewhat artificial - although it should be said they are of excellent quality, both firm and true.

The course comprises a front-nine inner loop and a back-nine outer loop that runs clockwise around the perimeter. A small river winds its way across the course creating the need for several small wooden bridges, and occasionally creating a water hazard to be wary of, especially in front of the 2nd, 6th, 9th, 12th and 17th greens. There are no sea views (the sea is 3-4 kilometres away) but an excellent golf outing is in store for visitors to Steningsund Golf Club.
