Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1991

The Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club is home to a very pleasant and some would say relatively easy-going parkland golf course. Good-width fairways and large greens will look inviting, but water comes into play on about half the holes and will need to be factored into your course management, not least at the long par-4 17th. Located not far from the Bight of Bangkok, you may find that brings with it some coastal winds and breezes, adding to the golfing challenge on Bangpoo's naturally rolling terrain.

Traigh Golf Course (pronounced "try", and meaning "beach" in Gaelic): You'll find this nine-hole seaside gem on the scenic coast road (as opposed to the more inland and quicker A830) between Arisaig and Morar. Although not on the well-beaten path of Scotland's "trophy" courses, if you are passing through this area, it's a must play.
